主讲人简介：
John G. Blair 教授青年时期在美国布朗大学攻读博士学位时就苦心教研美国传统文学，在美国本土文学的研究方面打下了较深厚的根基；中年时期又游历欧洲，在日内瓦大学教授跨大西洋的欧美文化比较研究，心得结集出版了Modular America: Cross-Cultural Perspectives on the Emergence of an American Way，后因在该领域的研究表现突出而喜获ASA协会的拉尔夫·亨利·加布里埃尔奖项；早已著作等身的Blair教授退休后几次来到中国，担任北京外国语大学的客座教授，带领青年教师专门开设了好几期的中西文明比较学课程。

Jerusha Hull McCormack教授出生在都柏林却一直求学于美国，在都柏林大学英语系教授美国文学、英国文学和英格兰—爱尔兰文学长达30年之久，尤其专攻1830至1930年间的美国文学和英格兰—爱尔兰文学；出版了5部学术著作，发表了几十篇学术文章并举办过各种形式的讲座。
